FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can our closed caption or video description signal be received?

The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, determined that all television sets produced after 1993 should include closed caption decoders.
You can receive our CC and VD when a channel broadcasts an encoded CC and VD encoded signal to be viewed on television.
On the television remote control you will find a CC button that will turn on the closed caption option for program viewing.

To activate the VD, many television sets have a function called Multi-channel Sound that allows reception of an audio signal that is separate from the program signal. Sets that have this feature can receive audio in stereo, or through a second audio program (SAP: Second Audio Program). This mechanism tunes in the Spanish audio and video description of a program being broadcast in English,.
