What is the video description used for?
This process allows access to visual content, otherwise unavailable, by the blind or visually impaired by listening to the spoken words of the program.
The description includes actions, costumes, gestures, scene changes and texts appearing on the screen. These are inserted in spaces with no dialogue, creating a separate audio track that allows the viewer to follow the story.
At present, video descriptions are offered at some movie theaters, live performances and television programs broadcast in the United States.
